FOR.COM. is public non profit InterUniversity Consortium established in 1990 recognised by the Italian Ministry of Education. It develops and delivers Open Distance Learning courses applying innovative solutions and interactive tools in order to promote flexible and collaborative learning process. It is also staff educational training institution. The "International Project Office" at FOR.COM. carries out research and project activities at national/international level for the development of ICT based training programs and methods. The intense activity of international cooperation with worldwide located universities, Research Institutes and Centres of Excellence allows FOR.COM. to manage and share know-how for the design and the implementation of research projects with global impact. The "International Project Office" as a huge Network at national/International level, which allows the establishment of wide partnerships and the sharing of know how in the field of distance Education.

Partners involved in the project
The Aarhus Social and Health Care College is a state-funded, self-governing institution. Its purpose is to offer short-cycle vocational social and Health Care education and training and associated continuing training. The college also offers a basic programme concerning these subjects for young people, including a specific basic programme for immigrants and refugees.
The college has it’s own web production unit, and it has developed a great expertise among web designers and teachers in the production of goal-directed teaching and knowledge mediating web sites. Furthermore the teachers at the college use web based teaching programmes to a large extent in the daily teaching of our students.
The college’s international department has great expertise in international project development and project work, both as coordinator of and partner in numerous EU projects.

Norton Radstock College is a General Further Education College offering initial vocational training and lifelong learning opportunities to young people, enterprises and employees in a wide number of vocational/occupational sectors. With some 8,000 learners the college serves the rural communities of Somerset in South West England. The College has extensive links with local companies, local authority partners and community organisations. A key training area is Health and Social Care; the college became a Centre of Vocation Excellence (CoVE) in this sector. The college has considerable experience in curriculum development and is highly innovative in creating new and flexible methods of learning. The College also has extensive experience in working with European partners on various projects, with 120 partners in 24 countries.

Romanian Society for Lifelong Learning (SREP) is an NGO actively involved in lifelong learning activities and projects supporting the continuous education of people of all ages, aiming at providing proper conditions so as more people may benefit from traditional and e-learning opportunities. The major objective of the organization consists of guaranteeing universal and permanent access to the learning process, in view of training and improving the skills and competences necessary for a sustained participation to professional and social life. During the last 7 years SREP has participated in over 30 European projects, both as coordinator and partner, in the different EU funded programmes: Leonardo da Vinci, Socrates Grundtvig 1, Minerva, Lingua 1, Europe for Citizens, Lifelong Learning Programme, eTen.

Srednja zdravstvena sola Ljubljana is a federally recognised nursing school in Slovenia with a 4 year curriculum Practical Nurse and a 3 year curriculum Nursing Attendant. Graduates work for nursing homes and hospitals. At the moment there are around 1100 students, 300 adult education participants and 90 teachers. We have close contacts to regional partners in the health and social care field.

SEED, a start-up non-profit company located in Lugano, was born from the belief that an adequate use of ICT and e-learning technologies can make a difference in education and training initiatives in cooperation and development projects: enhancing access, allowing the creation of stable networks, and improving daily working activities. Seed offers expertise, services and technical solutions supporting all the phases of educational cooperation and development projects. seed can work on localized mandates (e.g., identification of instructional needs, a context analysis, or evaluation), or in wide-range partnerships.
Seed has provided expertise and services to partners organization in several projects, involving different kinds of media: Web sites and Web applications, 3D worlds such as Second Life, printed media and audio. Seed‘s staff took part into different EU projects on research, training or dissemination tasks. Seed is active within some Open Source development communities.
